Our Services

Care Career North East is dedicated to finding the right career paths for those interested in care.

We act like a brokerage - linking up employers looking for employees and those people wanting a career in care, with employers.

But we don't stop at that.

We make sure at the start that new employers are right for the people being recruited and can offer career progression to those that want it.

We do this by working with employers to understand their needs and capabilities and by providing learning resources and link-ups to education where they need it.

This means that for both employer and employee the job on offer is not just a job, but the start of a journey. A journey that leads to a higher skilled person able to take on progressively more difficult challenges as they gain experience.

For The Job Seeker

We will examine not just your skill set, but your potential.

We look at your aptitude for learning and your care values as well as your experience to date.

This means we can advise on a care career path even if you have no previous care experience at all.

A care career is often viewed very negatively, but for those with the right mind set it is hugely rewarding. A caring career can cover everything from very basic needs to complex organisational and legal challenges.

We will help you find the right options for you and set you off on a journey that will take you as far as you want to go.

For The Employer

There is no doubting the challenge of finding the right people for caring positions - especially at the very basic care level.

Of course, it is at this very personal level where good care is so important and so having people with the right care values and attitude to the job is critical.

It is often the case that a job as a carer is seen as a stop gap for unskilled people looking for a wage until they can get something better. This can never be acceptable as everyone loses by this.

At Care Career North East, we recognise the need for people to have a path to progress in their careers. This means if we are recommending someone, that person has the values and aptitude to develop.

We accept that that someone who is employed to undertake basic care may want to progress, but we ensure that the progression is based on commitment and good service as well as education.

Our approach ensures that the vulnerable receive the best care, the employers reputation is enhanced and that opportunities are available for the employee as and when they are ready.
